La Casa Blanca | Our Story
Heritage, flavor, and heart in La Mesa
La Casa Blanca is the work of artisans, craftsmen, and connoisseurs of Mexican food and drink — a place where heritage recipes from Guerrero and Oaxaca are made with care, served with warmth, and shared with the community we call home.
How it started
In 2011, Chef German Rojas took ownership with a clear vision: honor the beauty of traditional Mexican food right here in La Mesa. La Casa Blanca became a kitchen with a purpose.
The kitchen team
Chef Alberto Carvajal brings 20+ years of experience and time-honored technique to every plate. His craft and German's shared vision make this a kitchen where cultural pride shows in every dish.
Rosa's legendary moles
Rosa's Mole Negro — roasted chilies, dark chocolate, hours of preparation — and her smoky Mole Coloradito are made entirely from scratch. These are sauces that carry memory in every spoonful.
Guerrero and Oaxaca on the plate
From Guerrero's Pozole Rojo and Carne Asada to Oaxaca's banana-leaf Tamales and Enchiladas de Mole — every dish traces back to the family kitchens that inspired it.
A La Mesa gathering place
A warm, folk art–filled room where La Mesa families celebrate and regulars always have a seat. From Día de los Muertos menus to locally sourced ingredients, community is at the center of everything.
